Weird I just stopped following him on twitter last month, I don't like country. Owen the rocker knew no limits. Checked the other board, tumbleweeds, message boards been dead for almost a decade, everyone's on instagram, but not twitter?

I was actually wondering about him lately too. He was a good friend of mine on the old boards. Wish I had friended him on FB.

I'm so very sad about this. I kept in touch with him on FB and he just came back from a European tour with his country band. He was doing great and having fun.

Only 32 years old. Rest in peace, Owen.

Damn, just saw him play a couple of months ago. Can't say that I knew him very well, but we'd always run into each other at shows and have a great time drinking and talking shit.

Terrible news.

I never knew him that personally,but the correspondence I've received from him was really awesome. He was a fun guy to speak to about music,very polite actually and had a really big heart. Potbelly was awesome.

One of my worst hangovers was the day after trying to keep up with that guy at Emissions 2006, so that's saying something. He definitely lived life full-bore, so I'm not as shocked about this as a lot of people seemingly have been. He definitely seemed older than 32, so I guess passing away at 32 itself is shocking.

Following this on Facebook, he obviously kept up with a lot of the sr.com folks in real life, so I hope he apologized to RockHunny/Michelle/Ginger/or-whatever-she-was-calling-herself-that-day. He was a complete shithead to her for seemingly months on end, just so he could suck up to her arch-nemesis' on the board in boogiemama and Metal Dave. Of course, I DID eventually party with the guy and he was fun and nice in real life, just a mixed-up/impressionable kid, trying to fit in with an older crowd a lot of ways, but the amount of vitriol projected at her (a very nice, albeit kind of naive and annoying person to a lot of the hard-asses on the board) carried a creep factor I can't forget.

Yeah I was trying to remember if him and chovie quit the board at the same time over Bridget. I quit long before that, no one knew it. Dong sequiturs, you lose.
