Anyone know much / anything interesting about Jon Spencer Blues Explosion?

Got a chance to interview Jon in a few weeks. I know of the band, but haven't listened to their music until today.

Seems they've got a really good live reputation and have maintained for a long time.

Extra Width and Orange are my favorite albums by the band.

I remember the name tossed around a lot in the early 2000s. A friend of mine coming back from college mentioning them, gurgling, babbling blurbs in Spin Magazine. The orange album seemed to be the one people were into, but I never had anything of theirs.

Actually, I should find that on youtube right now and educate myself. Such is the magic of the internet.

Always heard he has a huge vinyl collection.
His brother Chris is the guy from Unsane and The Cutthroats 9
JSBX has run it's course for me, but I can still totally listen to Pussy Galore.
One time we had access to the green room, and I heard he was nervous we were going to steal all their beer.
