I'm not the hugest YES fan, but I enjoy a lot of their catalog and it was definitely Chris' band. From what I can tell, this is a pretty credible ranking of their 33 albums (having only heard roughly half of them).

I'm not the biggest YES fan either but that guy was a GIANT on the bass. He could dazzle with brilliant flourishes and still stay in the groove like (the greatest) Entwhistle. I'd rank him in the top ten for sure. RIP

Saw them a couple years ago...doing The Yes Album, Close To The Edge and Going For The One in their entirety, which was cool. The live album Yessongs from 1973 or whenever was huge for me when I was in my late teens and burned out on Zeppelin, Hendrix, etc. It was its own little universe.
