Dave's 35 is SOLD OUT. 22,000 copies gone in ~48 hours for this one. Kinda figures. I think this is only the 4th Dave's Pick series release from the 1980's. (Kinda sad to think any new band would be happy to sell 22K units of any tangible media debut now-a-days.) |

Man. Jerry's vox sounds so broken and tired in places here. In 1984 Garcia found his own Orwellian DOOM chasing The Dragon. Thankfully, his beautiful playing on Tiger this date of 4/20 forgives all. Baroque DEAD this. As a true and hardcore fan, there is some definite value here. But it's a bit weepy for all the wrong reasons. |

Dave’s 38 avail to order. 9/8/73 arguably one of the best 1973 shows. Will sell out. |

Dave’s 39 is a Philly Spring ‘83 show. If this is an official release worthy 1983 show then you know why 1983 is under represented. The new songs in the set list sound best. For fan attics like me only. |

Listen to the River St. Louis 1971/72/73 Box Set is an insightful look into the Good Old Grateful Dead as a touring theater experience to a more mature stadium outfit. 20 HDCDs of bliss and discovery. Recommended. This Box Set once again proves that the Grateful Dead often played better shows away from home. Save their home base of Winterland, of course. |

Dave’s Pick 41 Baltimore 5/26/77 just another just exactly perfect Betty Board soundboard recording. Absolutely delish Good Old Grateful Dead. This a “Phil Zone” show to boot. As essential as any May ‘77 show you care to name. |

To hear second set Terrapin>Estimated>Eyes all played with similar verve and beauty is quite a treat. 1977 was a special year of rebirth and energy for the Grateful Dead. I need to make a 3 show road trip comp of Dave’s 1/Dave’s 41/To Terrapin, Hartford ‘77. All Betty Boards. That would be worthwhile. |
