You can almost hear the cocaine dripping down the back of Axl's throat.

I went to youtube to find this.

And then I found something even worse. If you can watch the entire song I'll give you a $3 bill.

Each of these wins the thread until I watch the next one. Funny, the last one is the only one I watched all the way through. What is this young stupid band going to do with a classic? Lars was into it, is that all that counts?

Come on man, Limp Bizkits version of "Faith" is awesome. And yes, I do have a soft spot for Limp Bizkit.

But on another note, what the fuck did they do to "Wish You Were Here"? That's not even the right lyrics! Did they just take the liberty to fucking change one of the great Pink Floyd-masterpieces? Man, that's some balls.

Damn that 6 Feet Under one was so bad they had to make, not one, but TWO sequels. I won't bother posting Graveyard Classics 2 & 3 you can find them on your own.

I remember when the first SFU covers album came out and someone (zodiaclung?) posted their cover of "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" on sr.com. I must have giggled for hours after I heard that. Truly putrid shit! Talk about completely missing the plot.

I recently heard a sterile cover of Bad Company. Sadly someone thought "shredding" solos would improve the song.

....and I also once heard Yngwie cover Mr Crowley, specifically the solos. If someone actually possessed the capabilities to do a reputable version, he would certainly be one of the few.

he failed.

That Nickelback-version sounds better than Metallica does nowadays. How embarrasing.

Ouch! I kinda believe that actually. When Nickleback sounds better than Metallica you know there's something wrong.

Metallica have truly lost it....

Yeah, that Crowbar version of "Dreamweaver" always seemed a dubious choice.

On a semi-related tangent, I recently saw this long, white haired like 70-year old hippie dude at the grocery store wearing a Crowbar shirt. I got a chuckle out of it...

Yeah I don't mind that one.

For my part, I remember when Coalesce was doing their Led Zeppelin covers and the hardcore kids were eating it up. But I hated that shit. I like Coalesce and I get the joke, but really, forget it.

Last night I caught part of the Motorhead Behind The Music and there was a part where they were doing "God Save The Queen". And even though I like Motorhead I could only think "Jesus. Who cares. What a waste of time for everyone but the band."
