This is of interest to me. Love me some weedeater.

Also love me some MJS! Long time no visit. Miss your Mad John Shaftness. Gotta come here more often.

Count down to 4/20 in Denver with Sleep. Back patch.

Fans in NY - is this obnoxious young kids or hipsters or ?

Weedeater has been packing venues in NYC for a few years now, which is impressive since I've seen them play to a crowd of 6. Seriously.
Lots of hipsters; plus, the young kids bug me. I can't exactly explain why, they just do.

Yup, used to see them and play with them at O'Briens in Boston. Tiny place, capacity of 100, there would be 50-100 people there. Always an awesome time.

Last time I played with them in Providence, it was a HUGE venue, and there were a few hundred kids there. A lot of hip crust punk kids, hip artsy types, even some younger kids that reminded me of Clutch fans. Good show, I was just surprised that they suddenly were playing much bigger venues to much bigger crowds.

What about beef jerky? I remember one time they were touring and selling their own jerky.

I hope that they still sell jerky. I like bison jerky.

No jerky this time, but as far as consumables go, they were selling Hot Sauce.

Sounds like Weedeater, a band I still enjoy but have seen so many times that I no longer think they're mandatory whenever they come through town. Would like to see them with the new guy on drums, though.

Just my two cents but I would definitely check them out - Travis is really fun to watch, and they are tighter than you've probably ever seen them...and while the 'classics' will still be in the set, they are working with a lot more material these days than they used to. Like you I have seen them enough that maybe it's not mandatory, but I always support them when I can because Dixie is a good dude in my book, always makes me laugh, and always puts on a hell of a show. Seeing them tonight in fact.

Glad to hear, though I haven't caught up on the last one. Something comforting just knowing there's a new one out.

Seen 'em twice, both times a mesmerizing show. Dave's eyes all crossed weird while he punches his bass guitar. One time he threw a firecracker out into the crowd and it landed in some guy's baggy cargo pants and blew up. Took it in stride to say the least; guy looked pretty stoked about it.

Been listening to the new album for two days now, and I can say that I'm not dissapointed.
