Start at Spotify.

I actually only gave them my first real listens the other day, so don't know the albums to target. But Spotify has their stuff available so its easy enough to just click on the album with the coolest cover and see what its about...at least until someone here can be more helpful and informative about their catalog.

I started with Ticket Crystals. First impressions are decent.

Their stuff is pretty consistent over the years. "Amanita" and "Lapsed" are strong classic era releases.

I'm going to see them tomorrow in Philadelphia, it's been a few years since I managed to catch them live.

Listen to HH Word. Those are great places to start.

I'm biased because I am currently Bardo Pond's backup drummer. They are all very good friends of mine and I'm in a band with members of BP (Curanderos). I have pretty much every recording and side project so if you have a question, lemme know.

'Amanita' and 'Lapsed' for sure, but the first one I ever got was 'On the Elipse' and I love it to this day. It's still a go to when I just want all the lights down and chill music.

Those were my first two as well. I was real into those guys (and girl) for a while. This one was always a favorite...

I started with Amanita and loved it. Moved on to Dilate (good) and the newest one, Peace on Venus (2013?) which is fantastic. I intend to keep adding on until I've got them all.

Saw them Saturday and it was phenomenal. On the surface they may seem to be on the mellow side, but I kept remarking to myself how fucking heavy they sounded live. They said they had a couple new songs so there may be some stuff coming down the pipeline.

Dig in!

Yeah, I totally agree with the observation about the mellow surface, but once they dig down to the depth of the song it gets really hairy! That show was very cool.

Here's some footage of a session we did in London in September. The song is "Amen," which dates back to 1994.
