Anyone here know where I can get a digital copy of the self-titled Dove LP? I'm willing to buy it if I can find it!

Afraid I don't know, but I bought the analog version a while back, on LP and cassette, from Financial Ruin Records, they did a great job with that. I ended up having this record on three formats... got to see them live like four times too, consider myself fortunate in that regard. Great band.

Make sure and get the House of Lightning record if you haven't heard that yet.

Dude, never heard of Lambsburg. You're out there in the country. My friend's mom lives in Cana. Bring your band to Richmond some time.

Thanks. Yes, that House of Lightning album is mind-blowing!

Cana!! Wow. Small world. Does your friend's mom like stoner metal? We are an island out here in the Appalachian abyss!

We'd love to do Richmond. We're hitting Roanoke for the first time next month with Helgamite. Hopefully, we can open the door for something in Richmond (or Harrisonburg) through those guys.

I have the Dove album on CD. Still damn glad House of Lightning is getting an album out. That's an instant buy for me.

Is it available on CD to buy anywhere online? If it is, I have not been able to find it.

Yeah, I was going to say, I have no clue, cause I grabbed the disc right when it came out. It's an oldie but a goodie now!

P.S. I didn't know Dove was a reggae rock band! Ha ha at genre description! I guess there's a bit of Bob Marley in "Sight Unseen." I just never picked up on it before.

Fair Warning Records includes 'reggae' as one of House of Lightning's tags on bandcamp. The completely schizophrenic nature of it is a big part of what makes it so appealing to me.

Yeah, Henry is way into dub. You can definitely hear some of that influence on the House of Lightning record. It's pretty badass how it goes from Van Halen into Morbid Angel too. All over the place, but it works.

Awesome record. Saw them on one of their last tours. Completely mesmerizing live. Mare opened (remember them?) and were way underwhelming by comparison. The reggae shit showed up more in live performance. But I admired the big mix of influences and the genuine attempt to integrate it into the heavy setting. Nice dudes to boot.

Wish they'd released their killer version of Achilles Last Stand.

Got lucky and found this album in a $3 bin a few years ago. Nasty.

The two songs on South of Hell are way better than anything on their album.

The tunes on South of Hell rock. I also have an extended demo Henry sent me from around that time that had more songs on it recorded during the sessions near the SOH release, a couple of which popped up on the "S/"T" and the one was on the Floor 7".

There's a badass tune on the demo called, "The Trident," that I'm not sure ever got released anywhere on anything. Don't recall hearing it on anything but the demo. I'll have to dig it up. Regardless, it's a monster of a song.

I went back and revisited this demo and "The Trident" is actually "Somewhere Between" from the "S/T." The cool thing about the demo is that Henry's vocals are more aggressive on the early versions of the "S/T" songs, and the drums are more bashing. I think the guitars are louder, and more overdriven too very much like the SOH tunes. The version of "See You Soon...Love Always," is on this demo as "Changing of the Seasons," and it completely kicks ass. Love the version that ended up on the record, but think this demo version cooks it.
