I'm probably going to do all 4 days. Still, this is a weird fest.

Sick lineup. Seems to have kind of come out of nowhere, but there's obviously some money behind it if they're bringing in that many out of town acts, flying Sasquatch in, etc.

I'm going Saturday for Orchid!

I have been looking for an excuse to wear my 1967 suede/Leather Phoenix jacket.

Saw Lecherous Gaze earlier this week and they were fucking great. Likewise The Skull headlining the highly enjoyable Vultures of Volume Fest in Delaware the other weekend. One shouldn't miss either of them.

Just bought two tickets for my girl and I!
I've never bought tickets online before. Do they send them to you or do you get them at the venue?

Most events are will-call, or charge extra to be mailed. I would think yours are will-call. Funny to hear it called a venue. It's a parking lot, haha. I plan on buying tickets in advance, also.

While I was driving around looking for a f'ing parking spot, I went by the lot where this is happening... they were working on it, but have a long way to go (I would think).

Check this out (from their website):
September 20th, 10pm. UNINVITED and NIHIL Gallery afterparty with Scott "Wino" Weinrich, The National Reserve, and DJ Mamadom, Hosted by Showclass Magazine and Witness Company.

I'm not sure if that's implying the bands will be done by 10? But, Wino is going to be there, hanging out, haha. This is just nuts.

Camping? In Brooklyn? yunz doin down there?

Some killer bands on that list. Lo-Pan into Saquatch and Elder into Weedeater are worth going to one of those days alone.

Orchid was awesome! I even got to talk a bit with Mark the guitarist, very cool guy.
There was a professional camera dude capturing the entire set. Hope it'll be on YouTube soon.

from the pics on the Univitied FB, didn't look like a big turnout.
I'm curious how the "camping" situation was. Seems like a cool idea, potentially a big party.

That was the following night's set that I didn't get to attend. I'd love to see what this new Karl Simon effort is all about.

Yeah, it was their first live set... it was basically GoS with a new bassist, for obvious reasons. I wrote a little about the whole show on the other site.
