Love the song, it's great but is it just me or is Garcia out of key on this? Something doesn't quite sit right

Exactly my thought! Sounds a bit strange with the quiet medolic guitar and the very straight vocal line. Almost like he's out of tune? Maybe it will be better dounding on the record?

But still a lovely little tune though!

I was at a listening party for the new JG solo record last night... first of all, it doesn't sound anything like the Robby Krieger song. It's actually awesome- if you like Slo Burn, Unida, or even Kyuss, you'll like it (possibly, love it). Hell, there's even a cover of Cactus Jumper! It sounds exactly like a John Garcia band playing desert rock, which is pretty much what I was hoping to hear; unfortunately, he didn't have any copies for sale.

Sounds like I'll like the rest of the record then! I'm glad the song he wrote with Danko Jones is going to be on it, heard a few years ago and liked it.

I'll second the love for the new John Garcia album. Might even be better than the Vista Chino album imo.
