New album just released. Looking to get the three vinyl record set! The journey ends with this 18 minute track, perhaps the greatest epic in Iron Maiden history.

...that Wishbone Ash melody.

New Godflesh, PiL and Ghost albums are all in heavy rotation now.

When you say not killing you mean not very exciting? I wasn't huge on their first effort so I never gave them another chance but everyone is goin on and on about this record. I feel like a dweeb not checking it out.

I loved the first two Ghost records, and I like the new one, but it definitely hasn't grabbed me like the first two.

I'm a huge Blue Oyster Cult fan and Ghost really reminds me of them.

I mean yeah, it didn't really grab me, not yet anyway. I'm not a huuuuge fan, mind you. They have their thing.

I actually only just got into BOC, probably because of them. I didn't really like 'em until we opened for 'em here and got to see them loud and live, then it grabbed me... however, and I know I'm in the minority here, I like their second, the best. It's less metal, but I prefer it... new one reminds me more of the first one which is Ok to me, but I found Infestissumam's detour into catchyness quite ballsy

If this were the url of your video:

Copy and paste the bolded & underlined part into the Youtube box.

Probably the best cover of Don't Fear the Reaper I've ever heard. Can't wait to speak to Foetus soon!

light instrumental post rock from Mass. Not bad if you can return to this genre after being burnt out on it several years ago.

Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss

The most metal non-metal album I've heard in a long time. Absolute brilliance.

I figured out what a great album this was four-five years ago when I randomly revisited it, but the recent Decibel Hall of Fame article made me go back to it. So good. Back in this day (1991) I was largely a hesher who was heavily into Florida death metal and holding onto hope that the 80's metal giants (Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, etc...) would make a comeback (which they really would not), but was I also pretty up to speed on the grunge/alt-metal stuff (the grunge stuff was all around in a college town in Oregon back then), but I considered all of it just kind of "cute". "Cute" at least until I saw KYUSS live that is!!! That definitely showed me that pure ROCK could be as intense or MORE than metal.

Anyway, this was one of those albums back in the day, I deemed pretty cool, but "cute". 20+ years later,,, this is a MONSTER! Riffs, degenerate PNW lifestyles represented, totally infectious melodies/vocal lines. Such an awesome album! They unconsciously pissed off PEPSICO enough to pull this off the shelves! This is better than any album Nirvana or Pearl Jam (duh) ever released. Man, life just ain't fair!
