the lyrics to Xanadu are cheesy as shit, but the music makes it one of my favorite Rush songs

2 listens in and going to need a little more time with it I think. Initial reaction is it has its good moments and some not as good moments, not sure I like where go with some of vocal melodies at times. A couple more listens, though, should help me figure out where I stand on it as a whole. The opening track, though, might be my favorite thing these guys have done do date.

Yeah, it sucks that this is one of their most killer albums musically, but Peart refuses to play it live because he thinks the lyrics are so awful. At least that's what a friend of mine who is a bigger Rush-o-phile than me has told me. He said that Peart will now veto putting any songs pre-Moving Pictures into their set-lists because of the "inferior" lyrics. Really lame if true.

The new Woven Hand is killer. I didn't feel 'The Laughing Stalk' as much as the rest of his body of work, but he seems to have gotten back on track with this.

Trap Them - Blissfucker

Like most of their albums, it'll be mandatory listening for workouts and occasional fits of rage. They really let their Motorhead and Fugazi influences albums show on this album - all in the best way possible. The sporadic soloing is nasty and a welcome addition.
