Killer DOOM-esque deep track "Devil Delight" found here. Sums up the circumstances surrounding this release. My copy is the remixed 1978 version. Well worth the buck i paid for it.

I picked up the new Judas Priest album but wasn't expecting much but have been thoroughly surprised by how much I'm loving Reedemer of Souls. Probably the best thing they've done since Painkiller. It's really melodic, sort of reminds me of maiden at times.

From their most "Heavy Psych" of years, late 1969. If you're a Pigpen fan, this gig is for you. Loads of very hot playin' from all. Listening in HDCD 5.1 multi-channel is quite an experience. You get a very tangible sense of being in the room. Good ol' Grateful Dead fence sitter? This is highly recommended and will convert ya.

Grouper-Dragging a Dead Deer up a Hill (2008)

Stumbling across albums like this is why being a music junky is the best! Stunning stuff.

So my favorite track on the new Vestal Claret album is 'So Mote It Be' (vinyl only track). I didn't realize that the lyrics are from a previous Phil Swanson effort 'Upwards of Endtime'!
This seems to be a recurring formula with him: different song arrangement with same lyrics.

Classic style Metal

Lovely original "White Metal" white vinyl pressing. Plays NM-! Very fucking stoked to own this beauty.
(Didn't pay over the odds for it either...)

Church of misery - Houses of the unholy

How come I've totally missed out on this awesome band?

Now I have some serious Church of misery digging to do.

Revisiting The VSS made me nostalgic for other Dave Clifford et al projects, starting with this one from SLAVES (band was later called Pleasure Forever).

These guys went on to do Red Sparrows and Rabbits, just in case you might be interested in the backstory of those bands.

The VSS is definitely recommended for fans of Brainiac. SLAVES reminded me of a more song-structured SWANS at times.

I'm listening to some of my newly bought vinyl during my mix at the radio station! Check out my turntables and mixer setup ..

Original pressing Sugar Hill vinyl. Someone even wrote the date 11/5/79 on it!

Nice. Why buy dodgy reissues when best quality clean originals are available?
