How did this not get posted yet? Aside from the fact that it fucking rules, the chick doing the intro has no idea what is coming. "Make some room to mosh...", hahahahaha.

I would place the one-off Ascend project Greg Anderson did with Gentry Densley from Eagle Twin way up there! Im surprised you didn't include it actually as i thought 'Ample Fire Within' was utterly excellent. Although yes, Goatsnake really are awesome and more than deserve the top spot.

never got around to listening it. I did listen Ginnungagap a few times long time ago so I don't really remember how much I liked it, but it wasn't bad. These guys have so many projects it's hard to keep track...

Too right. Seems there is something nearly every month! As it goes i tend to enjoy whatever Anderson does more than O'Malley. Greg mostly keeps to riffs whereas SOMA seems much more into exploring mostly unlistenable avant-garde stuff or creating soundscapes. It's always fascinating to hear him talk about his work and processes of course but i haven't personally got the patience myself to stick with the actual music.

Yeah, that video had a major thread based upon it on sr.com when it originally came out. That's a better show than the one I just found and posted, but I just thought it was interesting to see a video with Anderson in there.

Also, I'll agree that Ascend is really great stuff.

Apparently both of those shows on DVD are included with the recent BW vinyls Box Set. It'll cost ya tho.

Pulled the trigger on the BW vinyl/DVD box set. Don't buy dodgy nu-vinyl, but i made an exception here as i'm a massive BW fan boy. Price was right delivered to my door. In fact, if someone put a gun to my head and said: "Name your one fave DOOM band or your life!" i'd say Burning muthafuckkin' Witch!

Vinyl and sleeves are solid and well made. Big booklet is nice to browse. Sonically, i still prefer the 3CD set to the LPs. The BASS brings more 666TERROR666 on CD. Still need to get around to listening/watching the DVD. Heh.
