Finding out that we both picked up James Gang Rides Again on the same day in a different city makes me wonder how many people buy that record a day...hmm

Incidentally, can't leave without mentioning Amplifier's "The Octopus". Two hours of astronaut progish metal. My fav of 2011 so far (and it'll take a lot to beat it). With one track called "Trading Dark Matter On The Stock Exchange" you surely know its worth checking out. Here's another:
