That album is a very unexpected highlight late in the year. I love Earthless but I like Isiah Mitchell even more in a song-orientated band.

An insanely great haul of killer tunes.

I bought the solo Phil Manley CD (Trans Am guitarist) at the Trans Am show last night. If I dug back to the last two-three weeks, I might pull out a couple of other CDs, but nothing close to that haul.

There's some interesting shit in here. Didn't know anyone was still seeking out the Flying Nun/Xpressway thing. I've got a bunch of copies of the Peter Jefferies CD Last Great Challenge Of A Dull World. You can have one if you want.

Went to Used Kids with Two Man Advantage today.

Joplin/Big Brother - Cheap Thrills
Spencer Davis Group - The Very Best Of...
Pearls Before Swine - Balaklava
Party Of Helicopters - Please Believe It CD
Iggy Pop live in San Francisco DVD (A gift; I already got it.)

I have currently decided I need to complete the holes in my collection for Otis Redding, Spooky Tooth, & Party Of Helicopters.

Just finished listening to it actually. I thought it was great, lots of swing, and some unbelievable bass playing by Mr. Mingus. I listened to it after listening to the new Om album and it was cool to compare the two bassists, totally different players but both have their own unique style and sound.

Stuff like this is exactly what I love most about this site. Mingus & Cisneros!
