Alright it is finally happening. The Run DMC legend Darryl McDaniels is finally getting interviewed by me this Sunday! They even wrote a news event article about it in the local media here:

https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2017/11/30/18805011.php

He was a hard one to get ahold of!! LOL Can't wait to hear stories about him touring with the Beasties in '87.

You should ask DMC what he thinks of The Clash's early attempts at Hip-Hop. Also any influence from local Queens Jamaican Dee-Jay culture in their music and/or personally.

Btw I did not use up the entire interview(he spoke for 40 minutes!)and he even wants to comeback to my show again in the future.

I'll shed one thing about my interview though which I did not air yet,and that DMC is actually a huge fan of Pentagram! That blew my mind and further cemented my feelings that Run DMC were definitely legit. When it becomes available online soon I hope y'all can listen to it,thanks.

Rap/Hip-Hop for SR/Doom fans?

Especially for 2018??? The answer is SKYZOO...

Forget Eminem,Skyzoo has a more complex flow and his beats are sicker.

The new Black panther soundtrack featuring Kendrick Lamar released just a few days ago is very Doom.Especially this track. This bass will get yo whole ride shook! Lol...

Also been listening to Iggy Azalea's New Classic and really y'all need to peep BERNER if y'all into Stoner Rap...

Also...

Still stuck in the 90's. New Orleans crew. Slamming and singular post-Disco Funhouse-esque production.
Not a sampled hook or loop in sight.
Chill haunting the dark corner spots of the hood in yer Chevy puffin' on that dank OST.

Good shit renfield! :)] ScHoolboy Q is really really awesome. One of best things to come out of the Kendrick Lamar camp.

Anyways yo Liberty!! Stuck in the 90's!? lolz That's all good but seriously you're missing out if you're not giving some of the newer beats a chance. This year so far has been pretty good hip hop wise.

The Black Panther Soundtrack by Kendrick Lamar is perhaps the best hip hop album I've heard in decades. Every track is a grower, very well produced, and with some great lyrics.

This track right here is soo Stoner and Doom it's not even funny. Hail Mary's in the Sky!!!!!

Plus they're also issuing it on Cassette and Vinyl. Best hip hop album to come out since the 90's IMHO.

I'm a fan of this one as well although DOOM sounds like he sleepwalks through a few of the verses like he tends to.

Did you hear PHryme? DJ Premiere baby!

If Doppelgangaz aren't on your radar they should be. Slow, but real authentic stuff

There's one group that is definitely in the Stoner Rap category, and it's Bone Thugs N Harmony.

I just foundout they put out a recent album called For Smoker's Only(aka For Budsmokers Only).

They give Cypress a run for their money imo. Plus DJ U-Neek is a genius producer and very underrated!!! I'd say on some level he is better than Dr. Dre.

Bone Thugs all'ight in my book. Funny that Three 6 cut an e.p. expressly to diss them. Lols.

No trademark lock on the Migos/triplet flow. Mad respect. They flow their way.
