I've considered brewing again, but don't really have the time. Plus, I like it when other people brew beer for me.

Happy New Year and have fun with the brewing.

Adam,
Haven't had it, but some people were drinking Chocolate Milk (blend of Milk Stout with Young's Double Chocolate Stout)...sounds tasty.

The other night I had an Allagash Odyssey (very tasty), a Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast Stout (yum) and one other, which I'm forgetting at the moment.

I've had Redhook ESB that was good, and lately, terrible.
I dig the ESB style(Moondog from Great Lakes is fantastic) but it seems it's all over the map.

No one would drink them otherwise, right?

I prefer PBR when I don't have a lot of good choices, but I ain't THAT picky.
I just refuse to drink High Life.

On Bath Ales' Barnstormer and Hog's Back Brewery T.E.A. (The English Ale) at the moment.

Complements late nights of cricket and weed well.

Duvel Triple Hop? I've got a bottle in my fridge and I'm not sure what to expect.

Yup, had one on Christmas Eve. It's nice, it's tastier than an ordinary Duvel, but I won't go out and pay 22 euros for that again. It has a bit more spike, but it's by far not an American IPA 'spike' of hop dose. About the same as the two English IPA's I had recently, but of course a lot stronger in percentage.

Funny, my label was white.

We would if we could get it out here.

Cornish Mutiny from Wooden Hand brewery - weird stuff, serious citrus/fruit flavours, so much so that's it's like a beer cocktail. Plenty of normal hop/bitter action going on, but just overpoweringly fruity!

Drinking Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye tonight, along with Founder's Double Trouble.

That was actually my main concern, so that's good to hear. Most of that American uber-hop "x-treme beer" stuff doesn't appeal to me. Will probably break this one out later tonight. Thanks for the heads up.

Just got back from Vegas where I tried some new stuff. My favorite discovery was definitely Harviestoun's "Old Engine Oil' which was awesome. I did try that Youngs Double Chocolate Stout which while very good, didn't really work for me personally.

Usually keep Mendocino Brewing Co's(CA & NY) Black Hawk Stout(better then bottled Guinness) and White Hawk IPA(in league w/ Sierra Nevada) in stock at home. Don't think much of some of their other ales I've tried but these 2 are more than worth their $6 per six. When I can justify special occasion to spend twice amount usually pick one of the many great Stone ales.
