Never actually listened to Pearls & Brass unt I heard this track from a few years ago tonight. I'd noticed them being pretty lauded on sr.com, and knew they were from my home state of PA, but figured they were token retro worship. I dig this track.

I totally dig it from front to back cover. Totally rockin' hard rock record.

So much amazing vintage Heavy Psych/Krautrock to enjoy, so i rarely bother with the new. Doesn't even contain a tenth of the spirit of the original bands for me. YMMV.

Listened to this in a flux including Pinnacle, Kin Ping Meh, Guru Guru, Anonymous, Fields, and a little side of Rare Bird and Runner. Oh yeah, the new Midnight too, so I guess I didn't totally surrounded it with old stuff : )

Been finding it a little hard lately to find good new recommendations of unknown bands lately and almost missed this one. Glad this kept getting bumped because I only just discovered this thread and I am definitely digging this band.

They played with jex thoth and windhand tonight, and I fucking didnt know about it.

Also, you can't mess with Pearls and Brass. Great stuff.

Been listening to their "lightning at the door' album on youtube a bunch as I await the copy I ordered, which is being released on CD this week. They seem to be all over the place with their influences, IMO. I get a fuzzier Slint vibe from the opening track, I hear some P&B on another track, then the last couple songs I hear a huge TK Webb thing going on.

looking forward to seeing these dudes and The Well tomorrow night in San Francisco.
Should be a cool show.
