"Take Five" was a favorite of my Dad's, so I heard it a lot around the house when I was young. An awesome smoking & drinking song if there ever was one. RIP |

Time Out is one of the very few Jazz records I own. Smooth as fuck. RIP |

RIP. He's become a recent favorite of mine the last couple years or so. A day short of 92 is a hell of a run though. |

Was sad to hear about this. I enjoy his music and he seemed like a real class act. I'll never forget him on Burns' Jazz doc, narrating the story of returning to the states after WWII with the mixed-race band he'd been playing with for the troops. Sad news. |

A.C.E. wrote: guy dies, and some corporation pulls his stuff off of of the tube? shameful, at best. also, take five was a Paul Desmond composition. This is my favorite Brubeck penned tune (one that perhaps Rush owes a debt to?) |
