Although here in Japan the collective stiffy may have wilted a bit recently due to no cunt having any fucking money, there is a diamond in the cock and that diamond is the audio shit dumped off to the recycled shops.

70's, 80's, Pioneer, Sansui, Hitachi, that shit was built to last. And now its a gold mine here as the old pricks who surfed the crest of the economic maidenhead FINALLY fucking cark it, and their long-suffering evil wives, who still have another 30 years of pointless, aimless, silent, pre-planned life-simulation left ahead of them, dump their beloveds pride and joy off at the nearest recycled shop for fvckign pennies.

eg, I recently bought this fat gorgeous cunt for $20;

Image

retailed for 65,000 yen around 1981? i dimly recall $600 bucks being about 2 weeks wages?

http://audio-database.com/DENON-COLUMBI ... 55m-e.html

ok, I admit, this particular edition doesnt currently do the "roundy roundy" thing so commonly associated with record players. Will be needign some technical support there. But fcuik me, come on, 2,000 yen, I'd pay that for an objet d art let alone an objet d' awesome' cunt' like this!

another recent recycled store scab-job, some 1974 Victor (JVC) SX-3 II speakers, $40. In 1974 retailed for 36,000 yen, had high hopes but they sounded muffled and baffled by The Rock, maybe the Sonab speakers have spoilt me, if the Sonabs are a 9 then these are a 6, although they did slightly cream their daks over the violin shit, if any fag here wants them pay me 4 billion yen for shipping then go have a look for them taking on gallons of water bobbing around the Cape of Good Cock.

CRUCIAL ADDENDUM ABOUT FACE: by positioning the cunts right next to the Sonabs they meld together producing quadrophonic munt, problem solved O'Doyle rules no you can't have them

**IMPORTANT RECYCLED STORE UPDATE**

wandering listlessly around a local recycled store like a sad gaylord when I saw it: could it be? An AIWA cassette walkman? There it was, in a glass case, under lock and key, housed alongside the unloved and unwanted shitpot gaylord pastel ipod gadgets of yesteryear I mean yester fucking last week. 10 bucks, thansk I'll take it. As a MORAN who has yet to join the free-to-air tinpot download generation this is a VIP purchase. I need to squirrel these cunts away cos they aint coming back. Production is cease. The Aiwa PX 380 will become my go-to staple & stable accompaniment around 2020 once my other 3 walkmans, the Sony, the Sony and the other Sony, all cark it. I don't have a pension plan or even one penny housed in the bank but I do have a lifetime succession plan of cassette walkmans mapped out until I drop dead at the age of 54 from a massive cock embolism all over my forehead.

Aaaaaaawww man. I'm pining when I look at that. Where I live in LA, there is a John Varvatos store(douchenozzles) - and I have to walk by it all the time because its right on the edge of a park where I take my son - but the place is full of McIntosh receivers. I walked through there once and it literally hurt my head to look at how choice they all were and how I would never be able to afford them.

It's my Grandad's. He was the Vice President of 'Reader's Digest' back in the day and had this setup installed in his house in 1967. I found it hidden in the attic.

The amp and receiver aren't very practical for daily use, but I have the vintage KLH cabs (4) in my apartment - they sound awesome.

..and while I have your attention, you must seek out this vinyl no matter the cost.

How much, how much? i've only ever seen one Macintosh amp here in Japan and it had a LOT of zeroes on the price tag. Like 5.

ps, you gotta pull those cabinet doors off and put easy access RECORDS in there!
pps, first primary question second; can rabbits jump?

My restored and upgraded The FISHER 800-C. The original quad of Sylvania 7591 outputs tested strong and now has NOS Telefunkens in the phono stage. Prefer my 1967 era dynaco MKIII monoblocks though. Cool to see an audio thread here. A very rewarding hobby.

WOW. Those things are incredible. Restoring a vintage set of big speakers is a project I'm thoroughly keyed in on doing, but my wife would never stop frowning if I threw that much time and money into taking up more space we don't have in the living room.
Those restorations are a worthy pursuit because of the availability of present day speaker parts to replace the worn out components from years gone by. I've watched a lot of my friends build sick speakers.
(also worth pursuing in this age of easily acquired parts: you can get almost any pair of replacement frames for expensive sunglasses and yet people part with high end sunglasses just because they are all scratched up. You can order new polarized frames online)

you play records again until you wear out the needle like in real life---A WORN OUT NEEDLE DEEDLE.
...and the record is a recording of our actual life until its gets scratched or breaks.

the year 2050 turntable crapper, it may look digital but its an actual real 2D virtual reality record player that plays real virtual reality records that you can actually remove from the turntable and store them in a virtual reality shelf-

Recently sold my THE FISHER 800-C. Tired of watching it collect dust in the bullpen. I'm sure it's happily doing the same in an empty dentist office right now. You live. You learn.
