I already dig the shit out of Reino Ermitaño, Mazo, & Dantesco, but I'm looking for more. I also like some of the stoner side of things like Los Natas & Humo del Cairo.

I had this discussion with Marcos on the old board & he had some suggestions, bless his soul, but that content is long lost & his web access seems to be on again, off again.

So I appeal to the community at large. What'cha got?

Dragonauta, from Argentina.
Did splits with (Los) Natas and Abdullah.
Also release stuff on their own.
I think they sing in Spanish.

If you're looking for something more on the stoner end, Viaje a 800 are hard to beat.

The Holydrug Couple is real good

Heres a taste..

off the mighty sacred bones label

maybe Maligno, kind of a kyuss/vitus hybrid at times, but it's spotty.

Hmm if you want lyrics in Spanish, stoner / doom bands are not going to make it...
I'd suggest you listen to Extremoduro, they, or he, as the leader Roberto Iniesta does most of the stuff, are pretty good in the lyrics department. More of a "urban rock" they call it

This band's a favourite. They're from Spain and sing in English.

Ahh, but they were called Rhino before... I missed their show in Granada 2 years ago and everybody told they were very good. The posters on the street looked doomy :D

Check out this playlist, hope you find something you like:
http://grooveshark.com/#/playlist/South ... m/58043834
You can listen without registering. It's not only South American and not strictly doom but most of the singing is en español except Dragonauta, Cultura Tres and Devil Presley who sing both in English and Spanish

Some other bands that I've discovered recently one way or another:

Narcoiris http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSAXzm9zP6s
Samurai http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xa_LgnISYHw
Cabrocordero http://cabrocordero.bandcamp.com/

Arenna are from Spain, and I think some of their lyrics are Spanish- not sure, though.
However, I think their album is the best of 2011 so far, so it's worth checking out, anyway.

Nice band! So far, they´ve never played live.

I guess you already know about their drummer previous band: Don Juan Matus

Now, not exactly doom but here it goes:
PENDEJO! (meaning something like "asshole") it´s a band from Netherlands. The vocalist spent some time in south america, so his spanish is perfect, saw them live weeks ago. Listen to "Taxi driver from Lima"

Carontte (Spain), Cementerio (Spain), Huata (Spain), Humo del Cairo (Argentina), Poseidotica (Argentina), Stilte (Argentina), and of course Warchetype (Spain). Not all doom, but all worth checking out in any language.

I just discovered these guys: Banda De La Muerte bit of everything heavy and fuzzy in a South American blender.

And Requiem Laus are a pretty decent doom/death band in the style of MDB from Portugal.

Also Monkeypriest. Vocals are English for the most part, but the band plays excellent sludgey doom. Both Defending the Tree and The Psalm are killer albums.
