Last show was Black Pyramid and local bands etc on March 31st? I think. Next may be Behemoth etc May 11, if not, then the week after there will be more local jokers. I'm more on the local tip these days, especially since the bar down the street has started doing "Metal Fridays". Although a couple friends of mine might entice me out further for Behemoth or Tombs or somebody if the time is right. Just less and less inclination to drive an hour or more by myself to have my ears vaporized and then drive back home at midnight or later. Needs to be a group thing, or at the very least part of a brutal drunk weekend trip. |

Last - I saw Royal Thunder, The Kickass and Sioux last night. Royal Thunder KICKED ASS. One of the best singers I've ever seen. Several hair raising moments. Relapse Records nails another one. Next - Whitehorse, Atriarch, The Body tomorrow night. Next next - This, but just the Sunday show. I've managed to take next Monday off for recovery purposes:  Times are good here! |

Also, it should be noted that I guess Repulsion dropped off the East End outdoor show, but Dead Congregation and Grave Miasma are playing four blocks away from there, so that is probably where I'll end up that night. It's going to be a hell of a day. |

Yesterday- Parasytic/Battlemaster/Deadly Reign/Pissheads Today- Black Breath/Martyrdod/Burning Love/Enabler/Dead In The Dirt/Balaclava Deadly Reign was pretty cool shit last night, mean and tight. Saw Iron Maiden over the weekend, for the first time. Left halfway through and went to see Revelation and Backwoods Payback. 1000 people at the first show for every one person at the second... |

Last Show = NoFest, a neighborhood festival with multiple venues and bands playing in each of them pretty much all day...unfortunately weather turned sour so the outdoor stuff got washed out...still there was some cool and interesting shit to check out. Next Show = tonight - Whitehorse, Atriarch, Usnea, The Body (at Plan B)....this show promises to be pretty fucking awesome, and my bandmate Damon is making his first live appearance with Atriarch. |

Had to skip out on zz top sunday, so Ihavent seen anything since the Clutch at the beginning of May, but have some cool shows coming up in the next 6-8 weeks: Refused & Off 2 Shiner shows Riotfest (Descendents, NOFX, Iggy & Stooges, Rev Horton Heat....) another show or two that I cant recall right now. gonna be a nice end of summer / early fall after a mostly barren concert year for me. |

Can I request a "Please keep an eye out for me show thread"? my wife and kids are away the weekend of Aug 17/18. Desperately eyeing out decent shows in Boston that weekend. only thing I saw so far was the following 8/17 at O'Briens (doom/metal bands) Rozamov Before the Eyewall Sea Of Bones Dead Languages only heard of Sea of Bones (out of Conn.) previously. All I know of them, is they play slow doom I think? anything else out there that weekend (8/17-18), please let a guy know. thanks |

So Whitehorse ended up being the type of band that would have ended up being in Emissons lore if they'd ever played. Total props for the intense travel/devotion those guys are representing. It really does mean something. This is the type of band that makes it worth my while to get out of the house and face the various hazards/douchebaggery an old gentleman like myself might encounter in this age. The Body being in Portland was very cool. Cool/heavy set. East End block party and Dead Congreation/Grave Miasma on Sunday. |

I think Whitehorse have been stateside since like March or someshit, megatour ! I saw 'em a month ago or so and yeah they were great. I like The Body but I can't hardly tell if there are songs underneath that barrage of sound, haha. More my shortcoming than theirs I suspect... Last: Rwake, Pallbearer, RIOTS, Severe Headwound a couple Saturdays ago... Next: No idea what's on the horizon, Pallbearer's playing again soon though |
