The only thing the DC Metro area one-ups any city in is having the largest population of passive-aggressive wieners of any city in The United States. When something good does emerge from there, a majority of the populace could give a fuck/show absolutely no support for it. It's no surprise that a majority of talented people from the DC metro who producing cool/interesting music/art/ect. area do not stick around and end up moving elsewhere. Hardly anyone in the DC area cared about or paid attention to Pentagram throughout their existence, so it's not exactly a shocker that the documentary is not showing down there imo.

That's not positive for the scene.

I wouldn't mind seeing this, even though I expect a train wreck. I was never much of a Pentagram fan- actually, I would much rather listen to (or see) Serpent Throne than Pentagram.
And yes, I've seen both a couple times.

You should check it out ron, it's really good. The filming and editing are top-notch, it's very well-sequenced and it's an interesting story on multiple levels. Tonight is the last night it's playing, it's playing at the IFC theatre on 3rd St and 6th Ave.

Tonight's the last night? Crap, I was hoping to see it on Fryday. I'll just have to wait for the VHS. Oh well.

It was also really easy to sneak a one-hitter behind the newsstand next to the basketball court when you come out of the w4th station on the east side of 6th ave. Plus I got a slice down the street at Joe's afterword, which is one of my favorite slices in the city.

Ha ha! No, the only time I've ever bought anything from there was an original copy of the ? and The Mysterians lp for $10 in 1986 when I was in NYC on a school trip. It's actually closing, not sure exactly when though.

Caught this movie on Friday and it's awesome.... Harrowing stuff, the opening interview w/ Bobby sets the tone and it's a scorcher. Bobby, Pellet and the directors were all at the screening. Highly recommended, it'll be on demand in a week or two for you folks that aren't near a screening: http://www.sundanceselects.com/videos/last-days-here-official-trailer
