Really though, I don't know why this guy needed a pipe to pound these girls out, beyond the fact that he shouldn't have raised a hand in the first place. Hitting women, even garbage like that, is never very respectable, and from a legal standpoint they obviously still would have been arrested for assault and trespassing themselves if he hadn't fought back, as stated in the article. He should have just ducked out the back, but rage usually wins over reality.

I'd have stopped at getting them down.

Dude's a previous murderer, but this was pretty much self-defense. Hitting them on the ground = bad news, not self-defense.

There was a story in the news like 8 years ago, some guy's neighbors, built some of their "DREAM DRIVEWAY" on his land, so he put a big boulder, a nice decorative one on the portion of his land they built on, The husband went out with a sledge hammer and started wailing on the boulder, so the owner went out and the hammer-er went after him with it. Dude dropped one in his chest, with a 1911. His wife came running out, and went after him with the same hammer, dropped one into her, too.

That would have been the end of it, free and clear he was. Pure self-defense.

He went back and popped two more in the husband, killed him, one more in the wife, ended her.

Jail for life.
