Not I, but that song is off their 2008 Crocevia album. Totally get it.

ovo's great...if you're into experimental noise rock. i've booked these guys a few times, and they are incredibly sweet. steffania sometimes will play the violin on her dreads, which is kinda mindblowing. recommended for people who are into bizarro abrasive music, like melt-banana and boredoms, or anything on skin graft. avoid if you want riffs and songs.

Colour me interested. Will investigate.

I've got some of their stuff. It's interesting for sure. Not always in the mood for it, but it's cool.

Saw them a couple of times. The drummer can be scary haha
She really does play her dreads with a violin bow!
I love them!

Those dreads are incredible. Now I want to hear what they sound like. I do like Melt Banana...from time to time in small doses. It always amazes me how bands like this can repeat their work which seems like crazy improvisation on untuned instruments. Will check out the album mentioned, thanks!

ovo's definitely not improv, and they're definitely not proggy or mathy, though their songs are certainly short bursts of intense energy. there's lots of screaming, jagged guitar work, minimal drumming (bruno plays a snare in addition to electric guitar), and just plain old weird atmosphere. they know what they're doing and it's well-rehearsed even though it may seem to some to be sloppy. i have a couple of their albums, and while i don't return to them often -- i'd much rather see them live -- they are fun to listen to, especially in 20-minute doses. fortunately, they understand the nature of what they're doing, so their records aren't that long.

I saw them at this year's Supersonic Festival and was hooked instantly! For two people, there's so much going on! She has a crazy death metal growl and the rummer is an absolute giant!

Here's to hoping they get on a few more Euro tours soon!
