I was always a bourbon man until I came across:

Any other suggestions for me?

I'm a fan of the more flowery scotches. I really like Glenmorangie. Mmmmmm scotchy, scotch.

i'm a huge fan of islay's but there are plenty of good single malts from other regions. i'm partial to laphroaig. i'm pretty lucky...i have a buddy that collects scotch so i've tried a wide variety.

I love Islays, but I like Highlands, Lowlands and that Skye that I had too.

I had that Jura last year (is it the 16-year-old?). I found it absolutely disgusting and a waste of my 40 euros. "Distilled in Paradise"? My ass!

Currently I have a Caol Ila 12-y-o, Caol Ila 13-y-o Distiller's finish (Moscatel barrel), Aberlour Abunadh (I'm not home, so can't see how old it is, 14 or 16 I think, 60,5%) and a little leftover a Springbank 15-y-o (last two are Speysides).

Mmmm

Great thread. I'm also a long-time bourbon man who's recently gotten into scotch. I've been drinking the standard stuff like Maker's & Dewer's but I naturally want to expand my palate, so it's cool to see some good recommendations.

I am in agreement with Shaytan, I really don't like Jura. I don't like Glenfarclas either, tastes of tcp and petrol to me.

Lagavulin and Laphroaig for me. Like the 10 year Leaphroaig as it is slightly sweeter.

Well since im from the country the only scotch I can get my hands on is what my dad drinks, and he only drank that for a bit until he got his gastro bypass. Now he barely drinks anymore, but if he does drink liquor is evan williams :(

Someone point me out some good shit to drink when I get home ( in a few weeks )
