Really really good.
The rip sucks, but until I get my vinyl, and d/l code.....

Edit: 3rd listen thru. This will be my album of the year. No doubt.
By the time you hit counterfeit sky you will be sold.
Did not expect this album to be this good. Or so Failure-y.
Yeah.

That's great to hear...it certainly has been getting very good reviews online. Much more pumped

Been giving it a spin. Albeit it's low volume on my laptop, it still sounds good. I dig that they gave Petting the Carpet a proper release, I always liked that tune

I'm digging the new Failure quite a bit. I wasn't sure what to expect, though it's absolutely killer.

new Failure is getting better on each listen. Can't wait to get an official copy and crank it.

We've talked about Pinebender before.....but I felt the need to raise their name again. What a cool fucking band. I previously only owned "The High Price of Living Too Long With a Single Dream"....I ended up buying their last one "Working Nine to Wolf".

I highly recommend picking up both. It's like slowcore meets Hum? Hard to explain them. They suck you slowly in, than blast off into distorted space.

I found them a few years ago via a sampler of Level Plane Records and some other label with 60 tracks on it. Went and picked up "Nine To Wolf" on Amazon for about two dollars. Well worth it. Never picked up the other one though.

This is pretty damn good quality for an amateur shot (audio is good too)
Especially if you didn't get to see the tour last year:

Good recent live audience recording of A.M. Amnesia....which has been my favorite track so far from the new one. Classic Failure

the new stuff sounded great when I saw them last weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing 'em again in August.

Unfortunately I cannot go see Shiner in two weeks. Thus ends the possibility of seeing Failure, Shiner & Hum in one summer. Such is. Hopefully I can still get to see Hum in September.

I dig it Neutron. Kind of remind me at times of...Arctic Sleep, St. Elias, and even Autolux (vocals). Might of been able to open the Hum/Failure show.

By the way...Shiner plays Pittsburgh, than two shows in a row in Brooklyn next month. Strongly considering Brooklyn. Trying to figure out how to "sell" this to my wife

This is pretty spot on. I like how they change it up a bit, they vary the style but stay in the general pocket of the bands you just listed.

Reminds of the KC band The Stella Link

Classic Midwest space rock

Machines Learning...from San Diego. Another band from San Diego on reunion tour right now...Three Mile Pilot. Anyone listen to those dudes?

I guess you are right. I remember hearing the name tossed around, but I never listened to anything. Until now, definitely fits the bill. Probably didn't realize they existed since they are British. I tend to ignore the British since they frequently have preposterously overrated bands that sound good on paper but not once I actually hear them.

These guys have some of that Life And Times, they have a bit of that Constants, they have a little of that Porcupine Tree, they have a touch of that Ring Cicada. Pretty good.

Shiner destroyed last night in Brooklyn at St. Vitus. Fanboy set list...and slipped in He/She from Splay...big fan of that song. Also encored with "Only Shallow" (My Bloody Valentine cover). All that and then some. Loud, Paul's bass is devastating. Gerken was on point. Greenpoint neighborhood is pretty hoppin too. Sat next to Josh Newton at the bar for a while. He talked music with me for a bit, which was very cool. Great set, thoroughly satisfied.

link to set list below, plus they played as mentioned "Only Shallow" and also "Third Gear Scratch" as encore

One of my friends lived in Greenpoint for a couple years. Never saw any shows in that area though. Just a lot of Polish beer.

some of you knuckleheads may dig this:

from the same town, and era as Hum.

Some nifty mid 90's mid west rock n roll.

Like that definitely. Some Hum or Garden Variety or even Texas Is The Reason at times. Not as good vocals as those bands though.
