Mr Carducci's my hero, his fine book Version II matured my relationship with music.

Some of the Chicago people (and omind?) had met him, which left me in awe. He's a fucking Nazi though and to the right of the far right.

So he is dead. I thought that was one of those wacky rumors. A bummer, as I feel like that interview for the Decibel Hall Of Fame on "Born Too Late" wasn't that long ago, and Acosta came off as a pretty straight up guy. RIP. Born too late, dead too early.
