OMG, I went to that other gawdawful site and thought my eyes were gonna burn out. It was hideous. This site is the friggin' Mona Lisa compared to that travesty.

Please, we were bombed out, wandering the internets aimlessly and you complain about layouts?

Hoping it doesn't come to that. I'd sell ads on the blog first, and even that's a last-ditch kind of thing. I'm not worried about it.

Oh, be old school, and sell raffle tickets to buy a new server or such if it come to that.
That was an awesome move. Bought sr.com like 7 more years, that one.
worked better than the whole "supporter" idea.

Im too lazy to sign on to the other and then check out both so I guess here it is, although the jam room was kinda the best part of sr.com and the one over here is slow to take off, but i reckon itll build up in no time :)

I don't see why this shouldn't be it. I usually don't like to divide and conquer at similar forums (same topics eliciting the same responses between them), and fuck, i'd probably forget what I posted at what, anyways.

This is definitely the better site. More attractive layout, better features and more activity on the whole. I'm even compelled toward better behavior than I was on sr.com for some strange reason, even though JJ is being light-handed with the modding. Weird, huh?

Better behaviour generally begets better behaviour. I get the impression that some people felt like they thought they had to live up to a persona at the SR.com forums, whereas here, I think that most of the juveniles had long since departed and/ or got bored of the SR.com. Or maybe it's a bit of a clean slate for some people. I definetely got a sense that the trolls just got tired of trolling after awhile.....most of 'em, anyways. The downside is that the SR.com forums had got a lot less interesting over the last year or two, but the upside was that there was a better quality of people going there, in part probably due to the fact that there weren't as many people going there to straight out agitate.

It was a rich tapestry of sights, sounds and smells for sure. All the people bemoaning the ancient sr.com past are bemoaning a past that never existed except in their minds, imco.

I like that it's well behaved over here, over there I have twice as much "smite" as posts which is silly. And I LOVE embedded Youtube.

i really dont like being forced to choose..which im really not, but in a way i am.

..but at the same time its good to have two just in case either one of these places goes down..i think we all learned a lesson from sr.coms demise..
