The Hawks deserved to win, they were the better team in every facet of the series. If I have a criticism, I thought they ran Bishop 3-4 times every game. And I don't think anyone was surprised when they announced he had a groin tear. But the refs weren't calling it, so why not.
I think Tampa Bay has a bright future, they're young and gonna be around a while. Just couldn't put it in the net last night, and they had several sweet looks. And their coach seems to have his head on straight. And Yzerman.
Hoping the Jackets show a lot more next year, so I can be emotionally invested in the games.
Yeah, the Hawks were aggressive @ Bishop. Not nearly as badly as Anaheim was toward Crawford in the WCF. Im guessing they figured out if they could get away with it....
As the Hawks will go through yet another roster retool this off season, i think both the Ducks and Lightning have very good shots at the cup next year. Tampa does need some help for Hedman, though. As beastly as he is, he needs a sidekick.
Im cautiously optimistic about the Hawks chances at signing Mike Oreilly. That would more than make up for not having a first rd. pick (at least at this point.) These things might change when the Hawks move Sharp, and (hopefully) Bickell.
